Cook County government and its hiring process, in particular, lack transparency and accountability. Too often, county positions are not filled by the most qualified candidates. As Cook County Board President, Toni would implement real reform in Cook County government through the following actions:
- Establish true transparency and legitimacy within Cook County's hiring process - including all Shakman exempt positions.
- Enable the public to see online postings of both proposed and final requests for quotations/proposals in all of Cook County's business endeavors.
